Odoo Developer

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Developer with strong expertise in Odoo migration to join our growing digital transformation team. You will be responsible for migrating existing Odoo modules, data, and custom developments to newer Odoo versions, ensuring smooth system performance and delivering clean technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have Responsibilities such as (not limited to):

• Perform Odoo version migrations (modules, customizations, API changes, and scripts).

• Migrate and clean existing data into the target Odoo version.

• Refactor old code to meet new Odoo framework standards.

• Debug and fix migration errors, deprecations, ORM changes, view issues, and module conflicts.

• Develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules based on requirements.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to analyze gaps in the migration environment.

• Provide documentation and post-migration support.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on Odoo development experience.
• Proven experience migrating Odoo 16–19.
• Solid knowledge of Odoo ORM, QWeb, XML, Python, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience in debugging migration issues.
• Understanding of HRMS, Accounting, Projects, Sales, Inventory and custom modules.
• Good knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with Git version control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with automated migration frameworks (OpenUpgrade, custom scripts).

• Ability to work independently and meet timelines.
