Human Resources Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Operations Specialist for a 6-month project. The role covers end-to-end payroll and People & Culture operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accurate payroll delivery, regulatory compliance, and smooth coordination with internal stakeholders and external providers. Prior knowledge of Swiss payrolling/labour laws is a must-have.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll in coordination with external vendors, including equity-related transactions
- Reconcile payroll accounts, support audits, and manage vacation/overtime provisions
- Manage year-end statements and cross-border commuter certificates
- Review payroll invoices and handle payroll, benefits, and time & attendance inquiries
- Maintain HRIS and People & Culture databases
- Liaise with authorities and external providers (social security, taxes, benefits)
- Coordinate work permits and employment changes
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts and reference letters
- Support performance management tools and organisational updates
- Identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
- Degree in HR, Business Administration, or similar
- 3+ years’ experience in HR and/or payroll
- Strong knowledge of Swiss labour law and social security (other European knowledge a plus)
- Fluent in English and German; French is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems
