Requirements:

7+ years of professional IT experience
5+ years in database design and development
Extensive experience in Java development (versions 8 and higher), including upgrading to Java 17+
Strong proficiency in the Spring Boot framework for back-end applications and deployment on Apache Tomcat
5+ years of experience with Angular and modern front-end build tools like Webpack or Vite
5+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
Proven expertise in Oracle RDBMS and PostgreSQL, including database migration and PL/SQL
Deep knowledge of API development (REST/OpenAPI, GraphQL) and message brokers like Kafka for event-driven architectures
Hands-on experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Familiarity with CI/CD practices, security standards (NIST, SSDF), and secrets management tools like Hashicorp Vault
Strong communication skills with the ability to provide high-quality technical documentation
Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Languages: English (fluent)

Job Description:

Design and develop vendor-neutral, cloud-portable applications using Java and Spring Boot
Refactor and migrate applications from WebLogic to Tomcat or Spring Boot frameworks
Develop and integrate OPENAPI-compliant RESTful APIs and query-based patterns like GraphQL or SPARQL
Build responsive and accessible front-end interfaces using Angular, HTML5, and CSS3
Manage database integrations, querying, and data migration strategies for Oracle and PostgreSQL
Implement containerisation using Docker and monitor data flows in asynchronous systems
Secure applications by managing credentials and secrets through tools like Hashicorp Vault
Conduct comprehensive testing using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Postman, Mocha, and Cypress
Document code, system configurations, and API specifications following modern best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum framework
