Job Title: Network Engineer (Mid-Level)

Location: Hybrid in Limerick - 2 days/week.

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours/week

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months plus extensions

Position Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Network Engineer to support and lead network technology refresh initiatives across regulated and corporate environments. This role will focus heavily on Cisco switching and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments, with strong ownership of project coordination, communication, and lifecycle management. Experience with Palo Alto firewalls is a significant plus.

The ideal candidate is technically hands-on, organized, and comfortable driving schedules and stakeholder communication from planning through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute network technology refresh projects, including:
• Cisco switch upgrades and replacements
• Enterprise Wi-Fi deployments and refreshes
• Design, configure, and support LAN/WAN and wireless networks in regulated and corporate environments
• Coordinate and manage:
• Project timelines and deployment schedules
• Hardware replacement and refresh cycles
• Maintenance windows and cutover plans

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switching technologies
• Solid experience deploying and supporting enterprise Wi-Fi solutions
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, government) is highly preferred
• Understanding of network security best practices and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to manage schedules, dependencies, and project deliverables
