Golang Developer

Go (Golang) Engineer requirement for a long-term delivery programme.

The role is part of a collaborative, remote-first European engineering team, focusing on the design and delivery of microservice-based platforms.

Engagement details:

• Initial 6-month contract (extensions likely)
• Remote working
• Germany-based delivery (German citizenship required)
• English-speaking environment
• Contract engagement, up to approximately 40 hours per week

Role overview:

We are looking for a Senior Go (Golang) Engineer with strong experience in microservices and Kubernetes to support platform delivery and optimisation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years with Go (Golang)
• Strong expertise in microservice architectures and scalable, distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms, Linux, and scripting
• Experience writing, testing, debugging, and optimising production-grade software
• Security-aware development mindset
• Interest in Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
• Comfortable working in Agile, collaborative environments

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimise microservice-based solutions using Go (Golang)
• Collaborate with cross-functional European teams
• Analyse and resolve performance, stability, and security issues
• Improve automation, testing practices, and SDLC processes
• Participate in technical discussions and workshops
