Job Summary (DevOps Engineer – Irving, TX)

  • Serve as a DevOps Engineer on the Analytics Platform Engineering team, supporting Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying data pipelines and infrastructure (using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
  • Provision, manage, and automate Azure data services (Synapse, ADF, Data Lake, etc.) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize Azure data platforms, including monitoring and troubleshooting data pipeline performance and failures.
  • Automate operational tasks and deployments using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Enforce platform security by implementing IAM, data encryption, and compliance with data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to deliver robust technical solutions and foster DevOps culture.
  • Utilize strong experience in Microsoft Azure (Synapse, ADF, ADLS, Azure Monitor) and DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Apply knowledge of ETL/ELT, data modeling, data warehousing, and big data concepts.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Hold or be willing to obtain Microsoft Azure Data Engineer (DP-203) or Azure DevOps Engineer (AZ-400) certifications.
