Scientific Data Engineer

SciPro is supporting a fast-growing AI Healthtech building the backbone for how experimental data is captured, structured, and used across biotech and pharma.

They’re hiring a Senior Scientific Data Engineer to join a collaborative scientific engineering team building core data infrastructure from the ground up. The focus is on designing and architecting data pipelines that ingest raw scientific instrument data and transform it into reliable, product-ready datasets that underpin the wider platform.

This is a hands-on, senior role with scope to lead technical design, shape best practices, and mentor more junior engineers. You’ll work closely with Product Managers and Solution Architects to translate scientific and business requirements into production solutions, while taking ownership of data models, integrations, and overall data quality in a mission-critical environment.

Ideal background:

• 5+ years in software or data engineering
• Degree in Scientific field or equivalent biotech/pharma industry experience - scientific domain knowledge is essential.
• Strong hands-on Python, SQL, pipeline design and data modeling experience
• Thrives in fast-moving, early-stage environment
• Passion for AI/LLMs and understanding different AI agent approaches is a bonus
