About the Role:
Our client, a leading financial services–focused investment banking platform, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its FinTech Investment Banking team in New York. The role sits within a highly active advisory franchise covering fintech, payments, software-enabled financial services, and digital assets.
This position offers significant responsibility across transaction execution, client interaction, and team leadership, with exposure to complex, high-profile M&A and capital markets transactions. The platform is known for a performance-driven compensation structure with a high bonus component tied directly to deal activity and individual contribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a lead role in the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments within the fintech and digital assets ecosystem
- Build, review, and refine complex financial models, including M&A, accretion/dilution, and valuation analyses
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, supporting senior bankers in delivering strategic and financial advice to founders, sponsors, and public company management teams
- Coordinate diligence processes and manage internal teams and external advisors, including legal counsel, accounting firms, and private equity or venture capital sponsors
- Drive the preparation of marketing materials, pitchbooks, and investment memoranda, with a strong emphasis on sector insight and thematic expertise
- Mentor and oversee analysts and junior associates, ensuring high-quality output and a strong team culture
- Contribute meaningfully to business development efforts through market mapping, idea generation, and sector research across fintech and digital assets
Candidate Profile:
- 3–6 years of investment banking experience, ideally at the Associate or Senior Associate level
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in FinTech, digital assets, blockchain, payments, financial software, or related sectors
- Candidates from FIG, TMT, or technology-focused M&A teams with demonstrable fintech or digital infrastructure exposure are also highly encouraged
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skill set
- Confident communicator with experience working directly with senior executives and transaction counterparties
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA is a plus
