About the role
Sector Alarm is on an ambitious growth journey, and we are now strengthening our team with a Group Business Development Director, based in Oslo, Norway and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer North. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the performance and future direction, with primary focus on Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Ireland, markets that together represent the majority of the company’s customers, revenues, and EBITDA contribution.
This is a role at the heart of the business, you will operate at the intersection of Group and country leadership, working on a focused set of high-impact initiatives that matter at the very top of the management agenda. You will help shape priorities, support key decisions, and, most importantly, ensure that strategic intent is translated into real, measurable results across markets.
The role is designed for someone who is motivated by impact, learning, and responsibility. You will combine structured, analytical and fact-based problem-solving with hands-on collaboration, working closely with executive teams across. Few roles offer this level of exposure, influence, and opportunity to make a visible difference.
As Group Business Development Director, you will help define and deliver the initiatives that move the business forward. You will identify opportunities, frame complex challenges, and develop clear, data-driven insights, and then work side by side with leadership teams and relevant Group functions to turn those insights into action.
Success in the role comes from the ability to mobilise others and make change happen through collaboration. You will act as a bridge between the overarching strategy and country execution, ensuring initiatives are jointly owned, well understood, and delivered with pace and discipline.

Key responsibilities
- Identify, structure, and drive business development and performance improvement initiatives, in close collaboration with the COO North
- Work both strategically and hands-on, spending time with country executive teams to support implementation and ensure impact
- Act as a trusted partner, supporting and driving key initiatives including preparation for board discussions, executive management meetings, and strategic decision processes
- Lead structured, fact-based problem-solving efforts, including opportunity identification, root-cause analysis, and prioritisation
- Track progress and outcomes of initiatives, ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous learning
- Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics or a related field
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in a Scandinavian language is considered an advantage
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally within management consulting, strategy, or business development and a proven ability to tackle complex, data-driven challenges
- Experience as a manager or project lead, with responsibility for driving change and transformation initiatives end-to-end
- Strong analytical, financial, and commercial capabilities
- Structured thinker and clear communicator, comfortable working with senior leaders
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling achieving impact collaboratively
- Willing to travel throughout our European offices as needed
- You must identify yourself with our core values; willing to improve, goal-oriented, customer-focused, and reliable
