Senior Backend Engineer

We now have a new requirement and are looking for a consultant colleague with the qualifications listed below. The position is part of our consulting business, which means you will be employed by us and work either with clients or on internal projects and assignments.

Your Profile (Must-have Requirements)

• Senior-level backend engineering experience delivering production systems end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and a modern backend framework (e.g., Spring or equivalent).
• Experience designing REST APIs and service architectures, including authentication and authorization patterns.
• Solid experience with databases (schema design, migrations, performance tuning).
• Proven experience with CI/CD and automated quality gates (testing, static analysis, build/release automation).
• Experience delivering containerized services and working with cloud-native runtime environments.
• Strong engineering practices: code reviews, testing strategy, observability, and clear technical documentation.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated senior experience delivering backend platforms in production.
  
  

Meritorious

• Prior eSignature / digital signing domain experience.
• Experience with regulated systems and compliance expectations (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11 / Annex 11), audit trails, and data integrity.
• Familiarity with cryptography/PKI concepts (certificates, hashing, signing, timestamping) and secure key management patterns (HSM-backed).
• Experience with event-driven/async processing and/or search/log analytics solutions for audit

• Familiarity with AWS and infrastructure-as-code, including AWS CDK (language-agnostic), to support service deployments and cloud environment provisioning.
