About the Senior Software Engineer

At Nuclio Talent we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a leading travel agency specialising in the private sale of luxury hotels and customised travel packages.

¿What are the roles and responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer?

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on large-scale, custom, user-oriented application projects using languages and technologies such as Typescript, Node.js, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, Java, Spring, SASS, Yarn, Maven and AWS.

Help the team to advocate for software quality and generate a technical vision, always with a customer-oriented approach.
Build modular and reusable components and libraries.
Facilitate problem solving and work as a team to make them happen.
Implement automated testing integrated into development and maintenance workflows.
Work in a dynamic, collaborative, transparent, young, international and fast-paced environment.
Passion for software engineering and craftsmanship in programming.
Ability to work in a team and collaborative environment.
Ability to work effectively in a self-organised team with minimal supervision.
Proactive and creative problem solver with the ability to multi-task.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

¿What skills do I need to have to be a good Senior Software Engineer ?

8 years of practical experience in building complex systems (preferably in Java or Node.js).
Highly proficient in TypesCript and Node.js ( 5 years of work experience)
Experience with large scale systems deployed in the Cloud (preferably Aws)
Excellent Functional and Object Oriented Skills, including strong design patterns.
Knowledge of software best practices such as refactoring, Clean Code, SOLID principles, encapsulation and more.
Good knowledge of HTML and CSS, including CSS,
Understanding of server-side rendering and its benefits and use cases.
Able to build a new code base from scratch, scaling through component development.
Experience working with automated testing frameworks and libraries (Junit, Jest, Jasmine, Mocha or similar).
Proficiency with modern development tools such as Yarn, Git and GitFlow.
Experience working with Agile, Lean, continuous delivery approaches, and best practices.
