Job Title: Data Center Support Engineer (Lenovo AI Workloads)

Location: Folium, Hønefoss, Norway

Duration: Approx. 3 months (high possibility of extension)

Start Date: Mid-January 2024 (8-5) transitioning to 24/7 support from mid-February

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Data Center Support Engineer with experience or interest in AI workloads and server support, particularly for Lenovo gear, to provide on-site support at a data center in Folium, Hønefoss. While experience with Lenovo equipment is ideal, we can facilitate training and certification if required.

This role involves Smarthands support and hands-on server support with a focus on maintaining infrastructure, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring optimal performance for AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver on-site support during business hours (8 AM - 5 PM) starting mid-January 2024.
• Transition to 24/7 shift-based support from mid-February 2024.
• Perform hands-on server support and troubleshooting for Lenovo hardware.
• Manage Smarthands tasks, including hardware replacements, cabling, and racking/de-racking.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience:
• Hands-on experience with Lenovo or similar server hardware is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with AI workload support and related infrastructure processes (IBM X experience also applicable).
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Lenovo server support certifications or willingness to obtain certification through provided training.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities in data center environments.
• Other Skills:
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a rotating shift-based schedule, including 24/7 coverage.
