Senior DevOps Engineer (Contractor – 6 Months)

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering teams at RecoTek (Bucharest) on a 6-month contract.

You will design, implement, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS, working closely with engineering teams to support multiple high-impact projects.

This role is essential for scaling our cloud capabilities and accelerating our delivery roadmap

🛠️ What You’ll Do

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Deploy, operate, and optimize Azure & AWS environments (VMs, VNets, serverless, storage, databases).
• Design scalable, secure cloud architectures.

CI/CD & Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Automate deployments and environment provisioning.

Infrastructure as Code

• Use Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, or similar tools for IaC.
• Maintain version-controlled infrastructure and reusable templates.

Monitoring & Reliability

• Extend monitoring using Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.
• Ensure high uptime & proactively address issues.

Security & Compliance

• Apply cloud security best practices, RBAC, identity governance, and compliance controls.
• Conduct periodic audits and improve security posture.

Incident Response

• Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshoot critical cloud incidents.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with development, QA, and operations teams.
• Offer technical guidance and promote DevOps best practices.

🎯 What You Need to Bring

Essential Skills

✔️ Strong cloud experience (Azure and/or AWS)

✔️ Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, Ansible)

✔️ CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

✔️ Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or Python

✔️ Linux/Ubuntu administration

✔️ Containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)

Bonus Points For

➕ Multi-cloud experience (Azure + AWS)

➕ Microservices architecture

➕ Networking: App Gateway, Front Door, Load Balancers

➕ Experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Hub, CosmosDB
