Product Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for leading an autonomous agile squad through executing product strategies and plans, ensuring they align with the wider domain objectives and key results and delivering exceptional value to their customers.
Key responsibilities
Main:
- Act as the primary point of contact for products, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders including marketing, compliance, engineering and finance.
- Leader of cross functional autonomous squad, with a focus on collaboration, using data to drive decisions with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
- Co-ordinate dependencies between tasks, other product teams as necessary to ensure successfully delivery.
- Defines, prioritizes, and manages the product backlog ensuring that features are well-defined, estimated, and aligned with users’ needs and business priorities.
- Continually evaluates and priorities features based on customer feedback, market research, and business impact, ensuring that the team focuses on delivering the maximum value.
- Monitors key performance metrics and user analytics to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
- Defines product requirements, features and functionalities using agile methodologies.
- Ensures accurate and formal product documentation such as feature sheets and user guides.
- Partners with technology and design teams to deliver a world class product offering, ensuring quality and timely product delivery.
- Drives product metrics that demonstrate product impact customers and business.
- Contributes to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within product management.
Specialist skills and experience
Essential:
- Understanding user needs; The ability to empathetically discern and interpret the requirements, preferences, and pain points of end users, facilitating the creation of user-centric solutions
- Market & competitive analysis; The ability to research, evaluate, and interpret data and information about market trends, consumer behavior, competitor strategies, and industry developments. This skill includes gathering and analyzing market data, identifying key competitors, assessing their strengths and weaknesses, and anticipating market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
- User Story writing; Ability to capture requirements of product features from the end user’s perspective with accompanying acceptance criteria. Story writing is to be concise, clear and understandable descriptions of functionality valuable to the user.
- Product discovery: Understand and demonstrates the processes used to identify, understand, and validate new product ideas or features before they are committed to the delivery cycle. Required to address real customer needs and problem statements, determine feasibility to build and align with the business objectives.
- Experimentation / testing; The ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments or tests to evaluate game mechanics, features, and player experiences. This skill includes defining hypotheses, setting up test environments, collecting and analyzing data, and deriving actionable insights to optimize game design, user engagement, and monetization strategies.
- Product roadmap & prioritization; Strategically planning and sequencing product features and initiatives based on market analysis, customer feedback, and business objectives to maximize value delivery and achieve product goals efficiently.
- Agile methodologies; A set of adaptive and collaborative approaches to project management and software development that prioritize flexibility, customer involvement, and iterative progress.
- OKR definition & tracking; The ability to establish clear and measurable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that align with organizational goals and priorities. This skill includes defining ambitious yet achievable objectives, identifying quantifiable key results to measure progress and success, and tracking performance against these metrics over time.
- Stakeholder management; Organizes, monitors and improves relationships with stakeholders.
- Problem Solving; Ability to implement a range of processes to identify, analyze and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Gaming domain knowledge is essential to have rather than a nice to have. Complementary experience in ecommerce domains working with digital products is also preferred.
