Network Operations Center Engineer

We are hiring a Network Operations Center Engineer. This role is ideal to start a Freelance career.

What you will do

• Monitor and support critical IT and OT network operations in a 24/7 environment
• Analyse and resolve incidents, escalating where needed
• Participate in deployment and maintenance of network and security solutions (firewalls, routing, switching)
• Assist in implementing connectivity for new projects, data centres, and cloud services
• Perform changes in line with strict operational procedures
• Collaborate with ICT teams across Belgium and Europe to ensure stable and secure connectivity

What you bring

• First relevant experience in network operations or support
• Knowledge of firewall operations (Palo Alto and/or Checkpoint)
• Understanding of routing and switching (CCNA level or equivalent)
• Familiarity with Cisco CLI and Python scripting
• Experience with network monitoring, NAC, syslog, or authentication tools
• Strong team spirit, yet able to work independently
