Secure by Design (SbD) – Role Overview

40% – Design Phase

• Define business- and risk-aligned security requirements.
• Assess solution designs and identify security gaps early.
• Produce Security Domain Impact Assessments and control recommendations.
• Lead SbD design activities and obtain architect sign-off.

60% – Implementation Phase

• Implement and integrate security controls aligned to enterprise architecture.
• Translate requirements into configurations and delivery actions.
• Identify and remediate implementation gaps.
• Support assurance activities and SbD sign-off.

Authority

• Decide on security control selection and implementation approaches.
• Make detailed design decisions aligned with standards.
• Estimate effort and scope for SbD activities.
