Engineering Manager
We are working with an innovative technology company that is looking to expand its team with a talented Engineering Manager who has strong technical expertise in React Native and AWS. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to manage a dynamic team of developers, oversee mobile application development, and drive the technical direction of their products.
Job Description:
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of React Native developers to deliver high-quality mobile applications. You'll play a key role in driving the development process, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet high technical standards. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to ensure the technical execution aligns with the company’s goals and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of React Native developers, cultivating a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of mobile applications built with React Native.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure the technical execution aligns with business goals.
- Drive best practices in React Native development, focusing on code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership on complex engineering challenges.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage project timelines, priorities, and ensure successful delivery of features.
- Stay current with the latest React Native trends, tools, and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Senior Software Engineer with expertise in React Native.
- Strong hands-on experience with React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern mobile development practices.
- Solid experience with mobile app architecture, state management, testing, and deployment processes.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a development team.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, backend services integration, and third-party libraries.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, focused on delivering impactful solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred:
- Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android) or bridging between native modules in React Native.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and mobile app deployment processes.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Firebase, or similar platforms.
