Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Drive Investment Banking Origination, focusing on M&A, Acquisition Financing, Equity and Equity Linked Solutions.
- Develop and execute the firm’s investment banking strategy and financial targets in Singapore, aligning with Group and Regional objectives.
- Collaborate / Lead our Debt Capital Markets and Loan Syndication strategy.
- Identify and create new Corporate, Institutional and Private Banking clients for the bank.
- Drive revenue growth, ensuring sustainable profitability and market leadership in Singapore.
- Ensure best-in-class execution standards across all transactions.
- Lead originator, working closely with sector and product teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
- Ensure transaction execution excellence by maintaining high standards of due diligence, risk assessment, and compliance.
- Oversee the Private Banking Investment Advisory business, providing strategic financial solutions to UHNW and family office clients.
- Bridge the gap between investment banking and private banking by offering tailored solutions such as pre-IPO placements, direct investments, and structured financing.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to deepen client engagement and enhance wallet share.
- Ensure clients have access to top-tier investment opportunities across public and private markets.
- Identify cross-business opportunities by integrating Investment Banking and Private Banking services.
- Leverage Corporate relationships to develop UHNW connections and vice versa.
- Work closely with capital markets, wealth structuring, and lending teams to provide holistic financial solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to CEOs, CFOs, and boards of Singapore and ASEAN-based companies, as well as entrepreneurs and family offices providing strategic financial solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulators, government agencies, and key financial institutions.
- Collaborate with Group and Regional teams to leverage cross-border opportunities.
- Ensure all transactions comply with local and international regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain high ethical and governance standards, aligning with the firm’s risk management policies.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes affecting capital markets, private wealth, and investment advisory.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and risk teams to navigate complex deal structures.
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team in Singapore.
- Drive collaboration between investment bankers and RMs to maximize client opportunities.
- Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and innovation within the department.
- Champion employee development initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 10+ years of investment banking experience, with experience leading a team.
- Proven track record in leading high-profile M&A and ECM transactions.
- Experienced in cross-collaboration partnerships between Private Banking and Investment Banking Advisory.
- Strong C-suite, institutional investors and family offices relationships across ASEAN.
- Deep knowledge of ASEAN markets, including regulatory environments, economic trends, and competitive landscape.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
