This is an internal Senior Web Developer role with Next Match AI, working on our own platform that serves job seekers and employers globally.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Web Developer to help lead the design and development of our core web experience. You will work on candidate flows, employer dashboards, analytics, and internal tools, and you will collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams.

This role is ideal for someone who is still very hands-on with code, but also comfortable making architectural decisions and mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modern, responsive web applications
• Lead implementation of complex features from concept to production
• Architect and develop front-end and ideally full-stack solutions
• Integrate and design REST or GraphQL APIs and work with databases
• Improve performance, security, and reliability across the stack
• Conduct code reviews and help set coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with product and design on requirements, user journeys, and edge cases
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers and support their growth

Requirements

• 5 or more years of professional experience in web development
• At least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Vue or Angular
• Solid experience with at least one backend stack such as Node.js, Python, PHP, Java or .NET
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases, APIs, and Git
• Understanding of scalable architectures, caching, and basic DevOps practices
• Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote, product-focused team
• Must be based in Canada and able to work Canadian business hours

Nice to Have

• TypeScript and experience with frameworks like Next.js
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI or CD pipelines
• Previous work in SaaS, marketplaces, or HR tech
• Portfolio or GitHub with examples of production-level work
