• Position Summary: We are seeking an R&D Manager to lead a team of engineers and technicians within our sustaining engineering function. This role will provide strategic and technical guidance across a broad portfolio of commercial products, ensuring manufacturing continuity, regulatory compliance, and ongoing product development. Responsibilities include people management, team leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
• Department Overview: The sustaining engineering function currently comprises 18 team members. The new manager will oversee a team of approximately 9.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 7 years in a comparable management role.
• Education: STEM Level 8 Honors Degree.
• Essential Skills: Demonstrated management experience leading technical teams; strong technical knowledge of medical devices.
• Preferred Skills: Agile mindset with the ability to prioritize and adapt; experience in sustaining R&D.
• Industry Background: Medical devices (pharmaceutical experience not required).
