Data Scientist

12-month contract available for a Data Scientist. Australian Citizenship required. Position can be based in NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD. Large projects in the NLP/GenAI space.

We’re currently recruiting a Data Scientist role for a leading health insurance organisation. These positions will sit within a recently-created Data Science Centre of Excellence with a key focus on Ethical AI. This team will be well-funded as they look to advance their analytics capability.

About the role

• The technical focus of this position will be NLP-based projects (classification models, sentiment analysis, etc.)
• Work closely with Lead Data Scientists in scoping out projects based on internal and external stakeholder requirements
• Hands-on involvement in advanced model development and deployment with Machine Learning Engineers

About you

• Australian citizenship required
• 2-5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with end-to-end project experience in NLP solutions
• Experience evaluating, developing and deploying advanced statistical and machine learning models

Guide on daily rate: $650 - $750/day incl super (with potential flex depending on experience)
