Our client is a large, enterprise safety and industrial manufacturing organization with a national footprint, known for operating highly standardized, secure, and mission-critical network environments that support complex, multi-site operations. The organization places a strong emphasis on operational excellence, scalability, and continuous improvement.


Role Overview:


The Network Manager will lead the design, availability, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations. This role partners closely with IT leadership to define network strategy, drive standardization, and ensure reliable, high-performance connectivity that aligns with business objectives. This is a hybrid position and will require some onsite attendance.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead enterprise network operations including routing, switching, wireless, VLANs, and WAN connectivity across multiple sites
  • Own network architecture, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and high-availability design
  • Drive hardware refresh, standardization, and lifecycle initiatives to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot network performance, minimizing downtime and ensuring SLA adherence
  • Implement and enforce network security controls and cybersecurity best practices
  • Develop and maintain detailed network and NOC documentation, diagrams, configurations, and procedures
  • Lead network-related projects, coordinating internal teams, vendors, and external service providers
  • Oversee implementation and support of physical security systems (cameras, access control, alarms)
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and escalation processes
  • Support audits, budgeting, and capital expenditure planning with technical recommendations


Required Experience & Skills:


  • Proven experience in a Network Manager, Network Lead, or senior network engineering role in a multi-site enterprise environment (team of 3 or more)
  • Must work well on a highly collaborative team, voicing opinions, driving solutions, and getting buy-in from the business
  • Strong hands-on experience as a Sr. Network Engineer in Cisco environment highly preferred
  • Strong hands-on expertise with routing, switching, VLANs, and enterprise network design
  • Experience with Meraki networking solutions; FS switching experience preferred
  • Proficiency with network monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of cellular network management and redundancy strategies
  • Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and network security best practices
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
