Senior Engineer / Tech Lead (Exchange / DeFi)

Our client is a leading global crypto trading platform known for delivering secure, high-performance digital asset services to users across multiple regions. With a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance, they are developing core infrastructure that underpins real-world digital asset products.

Role Requirement

They are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Tech Lead to take ownership of backend and frontend architecture while leading technical execution across Node.js, Go, and React systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on blockchain or crypto experience, strong system design expertise, and the ability to lead engineers while remaining deeply involved in building and scaling mission-critical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical direction for backend and frontend systems
• Design and build scalable services using Node.js and Go
• Lead frontend development using React, ensuring performance and UX quality
• Integrate blockchain and crypto components into production systems
• Make architectural decisions around scalability, security, and performance
• Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and improve engineering processes
• Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders on roadmap execution

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend experience with Node.js and Go
• Strong frontend experience with React
• Proven experience working in blockchain, crypto, Web3, or digital assets
• Experience with smart contracts or blockchain protocols
• Knowledge of DeFi, exchanges, wallets, or on-chain infrastructure
• Experience building and scaling production-grade systems
• Solid understanding of system design, APIs, and microservices
• Experience leading technical projects or teams
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred

• Experience working at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 exchange
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
• Previous experience in fast-growing startups or scale-ups
