Network Administrator

Seeking a Network Administrator to support and enhance a growing IT environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on network engineering, security, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operational support. You will work across routing, switching, firewalls, cloud connectivity, and infrastructure planning while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.


This position is W2 only. C2C or third-party representation is not accepted.


Responsibilities

  • Implement, administer, secure, and support network infrastructure across the organization.
  • Manage routing, switching, wireless, and telecommunications systems; administer cloud VoIP solution.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network and server performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Identify and remediate network vulnerabilities, performance issues, and outages to maintain a secure and stable environment.
  • Deploy, manage, and support firewalls, VPN tunnels, and other network security technologies.
  • Contribute to projects migrating on-premises network infrastructure into cloud environments.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation, support capacity planning and storage, and contribute to disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and team members on projects and operational tasks.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on network administration experience, primarily in Cisco route/switch environment.
  • Strong background in network configuration, troubleshooting, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
  • Proficiency with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) along with administration of DNS, DHCP, and directory-integrated authentication.
  • Understanding of RADIUS authentication for wireless and network devices in a Windows Server environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts, preferably in Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency with network security technologies, including firewalls, ACLs, IPSec VPN tunnels, and NAT/PAT.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support non-technical users such as clinical and medical staff.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, or JNCIA/JNCIS (or equivalent networking credentials) are a plus.
