Role: Network Engineer

Location: Markham, Ontario

Work Type: 100% Onsite | Rotational shifts as needed

Experience: 5–8 years

Top Skills:

OS installations (Windows Server, Linux, Unix)

• Linux Administration and UNIX
• Data center / lab environment experience
• Ability to lift heavy equipment (~50 lbs) and stand for long hours

Preferred Skills:

• Rack and stack, cabling, configuration, troubleshooting
• Cisco Layer 2 deployment
• Server hardware QA and issue resolution

Responsibilities:

• Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision servers
• Deploy and cable networking equipment
• Troubleshoot and test server hardware
• Resolve hardware issues via ticketing tools
• Travel when required

Additional Experience:

• OS installations (Windows Server, Linux, Unix)
• Strong cabling knowledge and port mapping
• Basic hardware troubleshooting
• RAID knowledge, web server/database installs (plus)
• Able to work without sponsorship
• Quick learner, able to multitask in fast-paced environments
