Job Overview:

As a Technical Lead, you will oversee the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based software solutions. This role requires deep expertise in cloud architecture and modern software development practices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to turn business needs into technical specifications, ensure the adoption of best practices, and provide leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

- System Design & Development: Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based software solutions, with a strong focus on leveraging AWS services and technologies. 

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system designs. 

- Architecture Leadership: Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and coding guidelines to ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability across projects. 

- Hands-On Leadership: Provide hands-on technical expertise, offering guidance and mentorship to development teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). 

- Technical Assessments & Innovation: Conduct technical assessments of existing systems to identify areas for improvement, proposing solutions to enhance scalability, performance, security, and overall system reliability. 

- API & Integration Design: Design and implement RESTful APIs, integrating them with message queues and ensuring secure communication protocols for client-server interactions. Uphold security best practices to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and authentication. 

- Technical Decision-Making: Drive architectural decisions in collaboration with other technical leads, resolving complex technical challenges related to security, scalability, and integration with modern cloud technologies. 

Qualifications & Skills:

- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on cloud-based architectures and technical leadership. Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and reliable systems, preferably in AWS environments. 

- Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices, distributed systems, and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 

- Strong knowledge of AWS services, RESTful API design, message queue integration, and secure client-server communication. 

- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring technical teams, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex software solutions. 

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
