Javascript Developer

We are seeking a talented Javascript Developer (React) to take a role in crafting sophisticated and responsive web interfaces that address complex business challenges for a major US firm based in South Dublin on a daily rate contract basis. Competitive rates on offer.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Creating innovative, user-focused front-end solutions tailored to meet intricate business needs
• Enhancing and maintaining a suite of reusable UI components to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders—including business users, analysts, and fellow developers—to deliver intuitive, high-performance user experiences

This dynamic position is based in South Dublin on a hybrid basis and is ideally suited to a strong front-end developer with a genuine interest in the financial services industry, particularly investment banking. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering mission-critical initiatives. The role operates within a fast-paced, agile development environment and offers the opportunity to work with global teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Previous exposure to the banking or financial services sector is advantageous
• Deep understanding of UX principles and responsive UI design with a focus on usability and accessibility
• Proficiency in writing high-quality, standards-compliant code that is scalable, flexible, and optimized for performance—particularly in Chrome and Internet Explorer environments
• Strong command of HTML5 and CSS3 for structuring and styling modern web applications
• Hands-on experience developing with React and a modern front-end toolchain
• Hands-on experience using Typescript
• Proficiency with CSS preprocessors such as Sass or Less, and module bundlers like Webpack
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and assertion libraries such as Jest
