Senior React Frontend Developer +5YOE

Responsibilities

•  Develop and maintain user-facing features with clean, reusable, and maintainable code
•  Collaborate with the design team to ensure pixel-perfect UI and a smooth and intuitive user experience
•  Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
•  Optimize for speed, scalability, and performance
•  Review code and provide technical feedback to team members
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers on the team
•  Help define standards and best practices on your team for testing, software delivery, observability, and so on
• Attend critical team meetings like stand up and sprint planning
• Write technical documentation
• Implement improvements to development processes
• Debug and resolve issues in production
• Advocate for new technology and design patterns where you believe they can help power the business
• Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality user experiences aligned with business goals
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in frontend development and explore new technologies
• Collaborate with engineering leads to design scalable, maintainable, and performant frontend solutions

Qualifications

•  5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on building dynamic and responsive web applications
•  Expert understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem; specifically around testing frameworks, React, and TypeScript
•  Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and implementing responsive designs
•  Demonstrated experience in improving web application performance, reducing load times, and optimizing rendering
•  Strong communication skills and experience working in a collaborative, Agile environment
•  Bonus points: DataDog, server-side rendered applications, maintaining monorepos, experience implementing or contributing to a design system
