Their advisory division is expanding the Energy and Carbon team and is seeking a highly analytical professional passionate about renewable energy and data-driven insights. This is an opportunity to work with leading developers and clients across the energy industry.

The Role

As a Quantitative Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis and modeling to support innovative research and provide actionable insights for renewable energy projects. Your work will underpin strategic decisions for clients and contribute to shaping the future of Australia’s energy market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quantitative models to forecast energy market trends, pricing, and risk scenarios.
• Analyse large datasets to identify patterns, optimise strategies, and support commercial decision-making for renewable projects.
• Prepare clear, insightful reports and presentations for stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to advisory programs by providing rigorous quantitative analysis that informs project development and commercialisation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, or financial analytics within energy markets or related sectors.
• Strong proficiency in statistical tools, programming languages (e.g., Python, R, or MATLAB), and data visualisation platforms.
• Solid understanding of energy market dynamics, renewable project economics, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
