Back End Developer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Back End Developer. This person must be able to work hybrid 3-4 days a week from Midtown NYC. Summary: We are looking for a Developer with a little Front End experience, who can get their hands dirty with code/troubleshooting. We need someone who can handle the highly regulated, high-pressure environment that is not very Developer-friendly. This person must have familiarity with all the processes, red tape, auditory/compliance parts of the job that get in the way of the actual work.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience, with 2-3+ years of that in Java
• Backend experience strongly preferred, no frontend only devs (Angular, React, JS, TS, etc.)
• SQL proficiency
• Solid grasp of more complex SQL operations (see if they can mention any of the following when probing about SQL: CTE, query plans, troubleshooting, indexes, etc.)
• Some finance experience or equivalent environment
• Not for finance-specific knowledge
• Some infrastructure experience
• Experience with CI/CD - Jenkins, github actions, urbancode, etc.
• Experience with AWS - S3, SQS, SSM, KMS, etc.
• Communication skills
• Able to explain something technical in layman's terms
• Personable and easy to work with
• Must work hybrid 3-4 days a week from Midtown NYC
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
