Internship : R&D : GCMS data analysis

Mission and key tasks

Reporting to our Cellular Fermentation R&D manager you will be responsible for a project focused on evaluating analytical software for GC-MS data. The goal is to test multiple tools, assess their accuracy and automation potential, and integrate them into an existing analysis pipeline. You’ll work with real-world data from chocolate aroma analysis—a unique opportunity to combine data science with food science.

• Test and compare analytical tools for GC-MS data processing.
• Evaluate accuracy, robustness, and automation capabilities.
• Integrate selected tools into an existing analysis pipeline.
• Work with large datasets and develop efficient workflows.
  
  

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, computer science, information technology, chemical sciences or engineering
• Strong background in statistics and data science.
• Proficiency in R, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience in developing analysis pipelines and handling large datasets.
• Plus, but not mandatory: familiarity with GC-MS data formats and processing; Interest in food science and sensory analysis; basic understanding of analytical chemistry and food aroma concepts.
• No prior lab experience required.
