Frontend Developer

Role: Front-End Developer (Contract)

Location: Must be based in Canada (available EST hours)

Work Arrangement: Remote or hybrid options available

Havas CX is looking for a Front-End Developer with strong experience in React and Next.js. This is a contract role for someone who can own complete features from start to finish, work through gaps in requirements, and collaborate well with both QA and the broader development team.

About the Role

You will build user-facing features for web and mobile products using React and Next.js. You will work in a fast-moving environment where not everything is fully defined, so you will be expected to raise risks early, ask the right questions, and offer practical solutions.

What You Will Do

• Build and test complete features using React and Next.js.
• Work closely with QA to ensure quality, test coverage, and smooth handoffs.
• Collaborate with backend and mobile teams to integrate APIs and data flows.
• Identify risks, gaps, or blockers in requirements and suggest clear next steps.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Help improve front-end architecture and development standards.

What You Bring

• Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js.
• Solid understanding of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and front-end development patterns.
• Experience building responsive, high-quality interfaces.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively when requirements are incomplete or evolving.
• Clear and proactive communication skills, especially with QA and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in agency or fast-paced environments is an asset.
