About the role

For a leading player in the insurance industry, we are looking for a Backend Developer with strong experience in .NET and Azure to reinforce the team working on broker portal applications.

You will work in an agile environment, building and improving backend services that are critical for brokers and end customers. The focus is on serverless architectures, integrations, security, and performance.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions and Azure Container Apps
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Manage secrets and sensitive data via Azure Key Vault
• Optimize data storage and retrieval using Cosmos DB and Redis Cache
• Integrate with external systems via SOAP services and secure them using OAuth
• Build and maintain SOAP and REST services in a .NET environment
• Apply test-driven development and write solid unit tests (mocking, quality focus)
• Contribute to technical analysis based on functional requirements
• Document the software you build and provide 3rd line support when needed
• Collaborate closely with analysts, designers, and other developers in an agile team
• Use Azure DevOps for task management and source control

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) is a plus.

Your profile

• Medior+ backend engineer with approximately 5–7 years of experience in services design and IT integration
• Strong experience with:
• C# / .NET
• Azure (Functions, Container Apps, Key Vault, Cosmos DB, Redis, Blob/Table Storage)
• SOAP / REST services and related standards (XML, XSD, WSDL, JSON, REST)
• Solid understanding of concepts like SOA, web services, unit testing, inheritance, stored procedures
• Experience with:
• Analysis, design, coding and implementation of object-oriented applications
• Hosting web services and web applications in Azure
• Azure DevOps for work management and Git-based source control
• Azure certification (e.g. AZ-204 – Azure Developer) is a strong asset
