Graduate Engineer – Permanent, Onsite | €35-40k per year |
We are looking for a Graduate Engineer with at least 1 year of experience in the road industry to join a leading technical team in Ireland. This is a permanent, onsite role offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in chemical and materials engineering within a dynamic industrial environment. You will be part of a company that develops innovative road construction solutions and chemical products used in bitumen and pavement materials, with a strong focus on research, product development, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical, bitumen, and emulsion testing to defined specifications.
- Record, analyse, and communicate test results to the Technical Manager and team.
- Support product development, R&D, and technical troubleshooting.
- Participate in the development of new test methods and lab practices.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Communicate to maintain inventory of small equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
- Comply with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the road industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Desirable: Laboratory experience, co-op/internship in industrial settings, knowledge of pavement materials and testing.

- Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.
- Interest in materials science and technical development.
- Strong written and spoken English; ability to write technical reports.
