Senior QA Network Engineer

Matrix Eastern Europe, the offshore division of Matrix IT, one of the leading global R&D services companies with more than 11,000 professionals, is looking for Senior QA Engineer to join one of our teams- Exaware!

Exaware is a technology company that designs and manufactures high-performance network switches and routers for data centers, telecommunications providers, and service providers. Their product is a line of advanced networking hardware and software solutions that enable businesses to build and manage large-scale, high-bandwidth networks.

This position requires excellent knowledge, ISP level, of networking and routing protocols design and configuration executing capabilities in large environment.

Key responsibilities are test plans writing and execution, analyzing automation regression and require close collaboration with SW and pre-sales engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans for complex networking and routing protocol features.
• Lead testing efforts for advanced IP/MPLS features and large-scale network environments.
• Analyse automation regression results and provide detailed feedback to development teams.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers and pre-sales engineers to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and technical expertise.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new networking technologies and protocols.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in service provider IP/MPLS networks or networking vendors specializing in IP/MPLS, with direct involvement in network design.
• Deep knowledge of routing protocols such as ISIS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, L2/3VPN, TE, 1588 Protocol, and Layer 2 protocols (e.g., STP, IGMP snooping).
• Proven hands-on experience in leading the testing of complex networking features.
• Strong background in QA methodology and test automation practices.
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior QA engineers.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal).

Advantages:

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with traffic generators such as IXIA.
• CCIE / CCNP certification.
• Experience running and analysing automation regressions.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
