Business Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a major information services organisation in Belgium. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting a greenfield Data Warehouse initiative - bridging business and technical teams, refining requirements, and helping shape the foundation of a scalable, data-driven platform.

• Position: Freelance Business Analyst - Data Warehouse
• Duration: 12-month contract (with potential extension)
• Day Rate: €(Competitive & Negotiable)
• Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)
• Start Date: ASAP / November 2025

Core Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison between business stakeholders and data teams to gather, document, and validate requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories for implementation.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit and prioritise data and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, and analysts to ensure alignment with the overall data strategy.
• Support and coach business users in defining and communicating their data needs effectively.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, ensuring deliverables meet agreed acceptance criteria.
• Help align the Data Warehouse roadmap with evolving business priorities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data-focused or BI projects.
• Strong background in the telecommunications or related industries.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and stakeholder management.
• Experience working with technical data teams (engineers, architects, developers).
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills - capable of bridging business and technical perspectives.
• Fluent in French (spoken and written); English proficiency is an advantage.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouse methodologies and cloud environments (specific tools or frameworks advantageous).
