Full Stack Developer (Node.js / TypeScript) – SaaS Platform

About the Role

My client is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join their growing team in Helsinki and help build the next generation of cloud-based SaaS platform. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance web applications that empower businesses and users worldwide.

You’ll collaborate closely with our product, design, and infrastructure teams to build secure, reliable, and user-friendly solutions using modern technologies like Node.js, TypeScript, and React all running in a cloud-native environment (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Contribute to front-end development with React / Next.js, ensuring seamless end-to-end product functionality.
• Build and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, implement new features, and enhance performance.
• Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) for deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD automation.
• Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in design discussions and product roadmap planning for our SaaS platform.
• Optimize systems for scalability, performance, and security.

Requirements:

• Multiple years of experience as a Full Stack or Backend Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React.js / Next.js (or similar frameworks).
• Understanding of API design, microservices, and authentication (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
• Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL – e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills, clean coding practices, and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Finnish is a plus but not required.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience working on SaaS or multi-tenant platforms.
• Knowledge of Prisma, GraphQL, or serverless architectures.
• Understanding of TypeORM, NestJS, or other modern frameworks.
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Datadog, Sentry, CloudWatch) and automated testing frameworks.
