Site Reliability Engineer

My client is looking for an experience Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) as they go through a period of sustained growth. You will play a key role in driving reliability, scalability, and performance across Banking, Payments, and Capital Markets platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Define and track SLOs/SLIs to improve service reliability.
• Automate infrastructure and operations with Terraform, Python, and scripting tools.
• Build and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Lead incident response and drive post-incident learning.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed reliability and automation.
• Optimise performance, capacity, and cost across AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as an SRE is essential.
• DevOps, or infrastructure engineering with an extremely heavy SRE focus will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with observability, automation, and CI/CD tooling.
• Skilled in Python, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiar with security, IAM/RBAC, and compliance best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
