Cost Control Engineer

Responsible for project cost control, monitoring, and forecasting to ensure financial accuracy and budget compliance. Coordinates with project teams to deliver comprehensive cost-control services and supports overall project financial performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, control, and report project costs, forecasts, and variances.
  • Maintain and update planned vs. actual cost schedules and budget allocations.
  • Prepare budget transfer requests and ensure accurate cost coding.
  • Analyse cost data, identify deviations, and report overruns to management.
  • Support preparation of Weekly and Monthly Job Cost Reports.
  • Review and verify client invoices, monitor over/under invoicing, and ensure timely submissions.
  • Implement departmental cost-control procedures and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Coordinate with site teams to verify progress and update ERP systems accordingly.
  • Support HSE and quality initiatives, ensuring safe and compliant operations.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or engineering (MMUP/UPDA registration preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years’ total experience, including 5 years in a relevant cost control role (GCC experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in cost control software (e.g., CCS Candy), MS Project, and Primavera.
  • Strong ERP knowledge, preferably SAP.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
