🔒 Information Security Officer – GRC & ISO 27001 Expertise - Freelance Role

📍 Location: Antwerp (1–2 days/week onsite)

📅 Contract: 3 months (with strong potential to extend to 12 months)

🗣️ Language: Dutch (French a plus)

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to help clients strengthen and mature their cybersecurity governance frameworks. You’ll focus on implementing ISO 27001, driving risk management, and supporting NIS2 compliance initiatives for local Flemish organizations.

Your Mission:

• Lead ISO 27001 framework implementation projects from planning to certification.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Advise on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) best practices.
• Support NIS2 readiness and crisis management processes.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to embed information security into business operations.

What You Bring:

• Strong background in Information Security, with hands-on GRC and ISO 27001 experience.
• Knowledge of NIS2, risk assessment tools, and crisis management frameworks.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills in Dutch (French a bonus).
• Proactive, structured, and confident working across multiple projects.
