Job Description

We’re looking for a talented Mid-Senior Backend Django Developer to join our team and help us build and scale our platform. You’ll work in a dedicated team to deliver robust, high-quality backend solutions that drive our business forward. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key projects and make a tangible impact in a supportive, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Django and Python.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other team members to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Implement database models and queries using PostgreSQL (or similar) to ensure performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and uptime.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on Django and Python.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Familiarity with document databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write efficient, testable, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, thriving in a small, collaborative team.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React) for better cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis) or caching mechanisms.
