We are looking for a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team at a leading multinational FMCG company based in Ghent, Belgium. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and to contribute to the company’s network infrastructure as part of a dynamic, global team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement LAN and WAN networks to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performance connectivity.
• Network Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum availability across all locations.
• Cisco & Palo Alto Configuration: Manage and maintain Cisco networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and Palo Alto security solutions to protect company assets and ensure seamless communication across various systems.
• Security Management: Implement and manage network security policies and procedures to safeguard the company's data and communications.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to support network-related projects, upgrades, and migrations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, updates, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide regular reports on network performance and health.
• Problem Resolution: Respond to and resolve network issues, minimizing any potential disruptions and providing timely solutions.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in network engineering, preferably within a large-scale, multinational organization.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking products (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Solid understanding of Palo Alto firewall technologies and network security practices.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic software.
• Skills:
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global team environment.
