💻 About the Role – Node.js Engineer (ReBound | ReUse loop)

We’re hiring a Node.js Engineer to join ReBound (Reconomy’s ReUse loop) in Romania. You’ll help evolve our award-winning Returns Management platform—designing reliable integrations with carriers and third parties, building scalable services, and improving performance across a high-traffic environment.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, QA, Product, and Delivery to ship secure, cleanly-architected features that power circular commerce for global retailers.

🚀 What You’ll Do

✅ Design, build, and maintain Node.js backend services & REST APIs

🔗 Deliver integrations between carriers/3rd parties and the ReBound Returns Platform

🧪 Contribute across the SDLC: requirements, design, coding, reviews, testing, deployment

⚙️ Improve reliability & performance (profiling, telemetry, caching, DB tuning)

🔍 Participate in code reviews; raise standards and reduce tech debt

🤝 Collaborate in Agile/Scrum with Product/QA/Delivery to meet business goals

🎯 What You Bring

• Strong hands-on Node.js & JavaScript/TypeScript backend experience
• Databases: PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB (schema design, indexing, query tuning)
• Building and consuming RESTful APIs; integration patterns & error handling
• Experience in enterprise environments and software architecture best practices
• Working in Agile/Scrum with tools like Jira / Azure DevOps / TFS
• Clear, concise communication in English; collaborative, proactive mindset

Nice to have

• AWS exposure (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), containerization (Docker), CI/CD
• Observability (logs, metrics, tracing), security basics (OWASP), message queues
