Data Analyst (Power BI)

The Company

Our client is a leading and fast growing PE backed Financial Services organisation looking for a Data Analyst with expertise using Power BI for financial reporting and uncovering data-driven insights to be presented to the Executives and key Stakeholders. This is a rare opportunity to join a team that has a critical role in shaping the data culture of the organisation as they continue to transform. You must be based in Sydney and be able to work in office 5 days per week.

The Role

• Partner closely with various finance and operations teams to provide data solutions to business requirements and complex scenarios.
• Assist with defining analytics requirements, key performance indicators and valuable data use cases and insights that enhance performance and decision making.
• Leverage various ML and AI tools to enhance advanced analytics capabilities throughout the organisation - develop POCs & evaluate use cases through to production.
• Design and build innovative dashboards and reports including real-time insights and predictive analysis.
• Drive self-service on Power BI reporting, provide mentoring and coaching on best practices and stay abreast of emerging trends, tools and technologies within data & analytics.

Your Profile

• Computer Science and/or Finance Degree along with a minimum of 5+ years of experience within a Financial Services environment providing data analysis & analytics.
• Proven expertise in using Power BI and DAX for building interactive and real-time Finance related dashboards and reports.
• Strong financial & semantic modeling experience.
• Hands-on experience in Fabric, SQL, Synapse, Python, Azure DevOps, CI/CD.
• AI & ML tools & projects experience.
• Superior presentation and storytelling skills.
