Front-end Engineer - Wordpress, CSS

Requirements

Must-haves

• 4+ years of front-end development experience
• Proficiency with WordPress
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visually-driven websites
• Experience with PHP
• Experience with JavaScript animations
• Advanced experience with CSS styling
• Proficiency with WordPress theme development
• Ability to translate detailed Figma prototypes into functional websites
• Familiarity with financial services industry requirements (e.g. security protocols)
• Availability to work independently and manage project timelines efficiently
• Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English

Nice-to-haves

• Startup experience
• Experience working in remote or contract roles
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

What you will work on

This is a part-time role (20 hours/week) for a 6–12 month contract

• Develop custom WordPress themes with modern development workflows
• Build and maintain a page builder system using ACF Flexible Content
• Implement modular PHP and frontend asset architecture
• Work with Vite build system and hot reload
