Director – Healthcare Data and AI Solution Architect

We are hiring for one of the leading organizations in the UAE specializing in healthcare and advanced technology solutions.

As the Director – Healthcare Data and AI Solution Architect, you will play a key leadership role in defining and driving the company’s data and AI architecture strategy, shaping the foundation for innovation, scalability, and excellence in healthcare technology.

You will design and implement a robust, secure, and future-ready data and AI ecosystem, ensuring deep integration with enterprise-wide strategies and governance frameworks.

Reporting to the Executive Director of AI & Data, you’ll lead a team of architects and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring the company’s AI vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership

• Define and maintain a comprehensive and scalable data and AI architecture aligned with enterprise-wide technology strategy.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data storage, integration, governance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide strategic technical direction to architecture and engineering teams.
• Evaluate and enhance systems to meet evolving data and AI innovation needs.

Data & AI Solution Design

• Lead the design and development of secure, high-performance data pipelines, data lakes, and AI platforms using modern cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Define architecture patterns for data ingestion, transformation, and AI model deployment aligned with data governance policies.
• Develop technical specifications and blueprints that support scalable AI development.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards (HL7 FHIR, HIPAA, and related frameworks).

Technical Oversight & Collaboration

• Oversee technical aspects of AI product design, development, and deployment.
• Collaborate with data science, product, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions.
• Continuously assess and adopt emerging technologies that align with the long-term innovation roadmap.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor a team of data and AI architects, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and innovation.
• Drive continuous learning and skill development in the data and AI domains.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in IT architecture, data engineering, or software engineering, including 7+ years focused on data and AI architecture.
• Proven track record in cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong expertise in data modeling, warehousing, integration, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, data security, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of AI frameworks and scalable infrastructure.

Preferred:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a related field.
• Experience with ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Prior experience with healthcare or biomedical data.
• Certification in data governance or architecture (CDMP, DAMA, TOGAF).
