About The Role

This role is about driving the technical future of machine learning at Storio. You will help us use data and AI to give customers proactive, automated, and hyper-personalised experiences. Join our growing team in Amsterdam or Nijmegen to set the technical direction for how we adopt ML across the business in a decentralised way.

How You Embrace Curiosity Daily

• You lead the full design, development, and deployment of complex ML and AI solutions.
• You guide other data scientists through their own development and deployment work.
• You define and champion data science standards to increase our ML maturity.
• You work with the Principal Engineer and Product Manager to find new ML opportunities.
• You ensure alignment between deployed models and core business objectives.
• You partner with platform teams to ensure end to end value from the ML lifecycle.
  
  

How You Make Your Mark

• You successfully deploy customer-facing, revenue-driving ML models in production.
• You improve the organisation's overall data and AI maturity through your guidance and expertise.
• You ensure the technical feasibility of new or loosely defined ML opportunities.
• You become the key technical voice for our AI platforms and all downstream applications.
• You successfully apply various experimentation methods, from randomised control to causal inference.
• You establish a clear technical direction for decentralised ML adoption across Storio.
  
  

What You Bring To The Team

• Five plus years of expertise as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer.
• Proven experience deploying ML models in production on modern MLOps platforms.
• Experience setting standards, coaching data scientists, and influencing without direct authority.
• Demonstrable success with value-delivering marketing ML use cases like churn, upsell, and pricing.
• A solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application in a corporate setting.
• Experience with causal inference in marketing or non-randomised settings.
• Evidence of using software engineering best practices in ML modelling.
  
  

What Sets You Apart

• Experience with operations ML use cases like anomaly detection.
• A degree in a STEM field like Computer Science or Mathematics.
• Experience delivering Generative AI use cases in a production environment.
