Data Scientist I / II

Role

We are seeking "data science all-rounders" for the Data Scientist position. While deep expertise in either traditional modeling or advanced LLM customizations (beyond prompt engineering) is required, candidates should also possess a foundational understanding and appreciation of a broader range of data science models.

Additionally, all our data scientists must be highly hands-on with data and skilled at extracting insights from it.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and understand business problems solvable through data and analytics
• Translate business problems into data-solvable formulations
• Gather and analyze data, and build models
• Rigorously analyze and test models/heuristics with a business-first approach
• Clearly communicate model results and analyses to business managers
• Collaborate with operational and other teams to convert data insights into business outcomes
• Work with product and technology teams to integrate insights and model outputs into our core technology products

Required Qualification

We are looking for individuals passionate about data, business, and bridging the two to create significant impact. Our team operates at a rapid pace, expecting quick turnarounds. The ability to navigate ambiguous problem statements and expectations is a critical aspect of this role

Key Requirement

• Mathematical and logical skills
• Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language
• Deep knowledge and practical application of either operations research, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, or simulations to unstructured industry problem
• Common sense and an understanding of common logical fallacies
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions to industry problem
• 1 to 4 years of relevant industry experience
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in a STEM subject from a top-tier institution
