Freelance Network and Security Engineer

We are currently looking for a Network and Security Specialist who will be part of the Network Infrastructure Team. The project will be looking to further segment and secure the Clients’ production networks in the context of Network Security. This requires a good knowledge of the communication flows and protocols in an industrial environment with a high degree of automation (+1000 PLCs).

As a Network Security Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation of the Clients security framework and the management of our numerous firewalls and other security products.

Technical profile

• Analytical and problem-solving thinking
• Thorough knowledge and experience in the following domains:
• Hardware: Switches, routers (Cisco)
• Technologies/protocols: Subnetting, routing (BGP, OSPF), LAN/VLAN, TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, FTP), Industrial network protocols (vb PROFINET).
• Analysis of network communication flows (based on e.g. WireShark traces or Firewall loggings)
• Network Management (vb PRTG)
• Security: Network segmentation, firewall, IPS, ...

Bonus

• Experience with configuration and management of Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator...) is certainly an asset.

Experience working in a 24/7 production environment.
