AI / Machine Learning Engineer

Senior ML/AI Engineer - Madrid (Hybrid)

We are supporting a rapidly growing consulting tech that partners with some of the most innovative organisations in Europe. They are looking for a Senior ML/AI Engineer to help design, deploy, and scale production-ready ML and AI systems. This role offers high ownership, technical leadership, and the chance to work directly with both technical and business stakeholders to deliver impactful AI solutions.

On the Business Side

• Partner with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and identify ML/AI opportunities.

• Assess feasibility and propose realistic, high-impact solutions.

• Define project goals, success criteria, and KPIs aligned with business needs.

On the Technical Side

• Lead the design and development of ML models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.

• Implement best-in-class MLOps practices for training, deployment, and monitoring (Kubeflow, MLflow, Vertex AI Pipelines).

• Build and optimize pipelines for data ingestion, training, evaluation, and inference.

• Ensure automation across the full lifecycle with CI/CD integration and robust testing.

• Collaborate with data engineers and platform teams to guarantee model performance and reliability.

• Apply LLMs and RAG workflows in real-world projects.
  
  

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ML/AI engineering or data science.

• 3+ years working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Vertex AI and BigQuery strongly preferred.

• Track record of delivering production-grade ML systems.

• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch).

• Expertise in MLOps automation and lifecycle management.

• Experience with LLMs, especially Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams.

• Fluent English (French or Spanish a plus).

• Eligible to work in Europe.

• Consulting or client-facing project experience.
